The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Review.

*** The Amazing Spiderman 2 Review *** Full Review

I thought the movie was decent but not as great as I thought it would be. It had its good parts and its bad parts. I still thought it was an improvement over the original The Amazing Spider-rman. I really enjoyed the powerful chemistry between Andrew Garfield and the sexy Emma Stone. The storyline of the film felt very weak with tons of characters clustered in the whole movie. I did not like how they still continued with the whole thing about what happened to peter's parents they died get over it. I did not think it was a good move and the right moment to kill off a major character that makes the movie work so well with there presence. The film was still entertaining and it had good fighting action sequences. I thought the special and visual effects were totally amazing. I still felt the script and dialogue was very lazy and it suffers from an unfocused narrative. Since the plot is so by the numbers, the film has no intrigue or urgency and as a result, almost every scene feels overlong and unnecessary. I really enjoyed the performances by Emma Stone and Dane DeHaan. DeHaan has a kind of evil intensity about him that makes him perfect for the role of the green goblin. Emma Stone was outstanding as Gwen Stacy, she has this power presence that makes the film way better. Andrew Garfield was ok as Spider-Man, but I still feel he was miscast in the role. Jamie Foxx as Max Dillon / Electro, His character is such a cookie cutter copy version of Jim Carrey's Edward Nygma/The Riddler in Batman Forever. Joxx's acting in the film was not that great. The film was very formulaic, but at least the film does have that edgier tone and dives deeper into the origin. I still think the jokes in this film are very flat and not funny at all. I will give it B.
