Alex Cross Review.

Watched Alex Cross starring Tyler Perry and Matthew Fox. I thought the movie was a decent film, but it just very dull. The main reason the film did not work at all was the horrible and tasteless, lazily written script and dialogue. The script and dialogue had some pretty cheesy lines; it seemed very rushed and forcedly written. The film was strangely edited at times and poor camera work on
multiple scenes. The only thing I really enjoyed from the film was two magnificent performances by Tyler Perry and Matthew Fox. Matthew Fox was incredibly magnificent as a psychopathic killer. Fox performance was sick, deranged, and absolutely outstanding. This film is just worth seeing for Matthew Fox's amazing transformation. Tyler Perry is a powerful screen presence with big shoes to fill considering that Morgan Freeman played the part first. Tyler Perry gave the role such a vulnerable and intensity that he hold his own in this movie. The action sequences in the film were very standard and well done with a frustrating direction by Rob Cohen. The film was still slick, fast-paced and very entertaining to watch. I will give it a C-.

Paranormal Activity 4 Review.

Watched Paranormal Activity 4 starring Katie Featherston. I though The movie was just plain dull. The movie was not even scary and it did not bring anything new to the table. What The film really lack was the chills and thrills of the first movie. It was very slow movie and it did not get to the good parts until almost to the end. The story and the plot from this movie was just horrible because
it really did not have anything new to the film which has run out of ideas. It really makes a truly lame attempt at establishing a supernatural mythology to explain all this occurrences which ultimately fails to do. I felt that the movie was so rushed with the script and dialogue being badly written and the editing of the films was badly done. The ending of the film was just horrible done and at least the acting was good. This movie is one of the worst films I seen this year and I will give it an F.

The Dark Knight Rises Review.

Watched the Dark Knight Rises starring Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. The film was amazing and very entertaining to watch, but it doesn't quite meet the high standard set by its predecessor. I thought the film was very overlong and the tone of the film was very light compare to The Dark Knight. I did enjoy the special and visual effects of the film, which were very magnificent and powerful. I also thought the script/dialogue was well put together, but there were a few plot holes in the script. The film drags a tad in the middle of the film and the film was kind of predictable and cliché. I really enjoyed the twist and turns of the film and some parts were much unexpected. Christopher Nolan did just a brilliant and mesmerizing film as the director of the film. Nolan in fact concluded the film very simply great. I never liked the character of Bane because there is nothing to do with that character. Bane’s character is more like a big bull dog protector, but I did enjoy who was the real villain mastermind and Bane’s puppet master. I also enjoyed Christian Bale’s top of his game performance of Bruce Wayne/Batman. He brought this emotion and vulnerability to the character, which makes it his best overall performance in his career. I believe he will be nominated for an Academy Award. Michael Caine was just amazing and wonderful actor. Anne Hathaway gave a great performance as Selina Kyle/Catwoman. I thought Hathaway gave a way better performance than Halle Berry’s version, but not as exceptional and very hard to top Michelle Pfeiffer’s version. Tom Hardy was excellent as the watch dog Bane. Hardy embodies the physicality of the character, and brought such an evil presence to the character. Joseph Gordon-Levitt was just a great addition to the film and I knew from the first time he appear on screen that he’s going to be Robin. I thought the action sequences were very well executed and well choreographed. I thought the cinematography was awesome and I found the last 45 minutes of the film to be the strongest act. The twists, turns and reveals are first-rate. I still believe to be an awesome farewell to the conclusion of this amazing story telling by Nolan. I will give it a B.

The Amazing Spider-Man Review.

Watched the Amazing Spider-Man starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans and Sally Field. I thought the film was very entertaining and very fun to watch. The film was grittier, darker, and smarter but I still thought it was too soon to reboot the Spider-Man Franchise. The film does deliver some great special effects and visual effects with the action being well-choreographed, with tight cinematography to boost. The film did lack with the script/dialogue department because the script is so full of plot conveniences and half-baked elements that it truly feels like this script was subjected to many rewrites. I also thought the film revisited many of the same plot points from 2002's Spider-Man. The film did not have a well establish character development. I really did enjoy the incredible performances by Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone. They had a strong and beautiful chemistry together. Andrew Garfield gives an extraordinary performance, he has the humor, heart and charisma that make the character work. Martin Sheen was excellent. Emma Stone was remarkable. Dennis Leary was terrific. Rhys Ifans was magnificent. Marc Webb who directing the film actually did a excellent job creating this visionary of a film. I still thought the film was very remarkably good despite its rater annoying change-ups and too-fast-to-make-sense script. I will give it a B-.

Prometheus Review.

Watched Prometheus starring the original Girl with the Dragon Tattoo's Noomi Rapace, Micheal Fassbener and Charlize Theron. I actually thought the film was amazing, although it does not have a clear plot and the film leaves too many questions unanswered. I was just completely captivated with the strong performances by the three leads which were Noomi Rapace, Micheal Fassbener and Charlize Theron. I thought the visual and special effects were very well done and very spectacular. I thought the film was brilliantly directed by Ridley Scott who shoot every scene with such visionary and dark atmosphere. It has a little problem with the script and dialogue, but this movie was written very creatively haunting. Noomi Rapace actually reminded me of Ripley played by Sigourney Weaver in the original Alien, such a great portrayal of a strong and fearless heroine. Some scenes were very grotesque and jaw dropping. Overall It was a awesome Sci-Fi movie I have seen in a long time. I will give it an A.

Men in Black III Review.

Watched Men In Black 3 starring Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones and Josh Brolin. I thought the movie was very entertaining and fun. The film is not funny at all mostly the jokes were very flat and unoriginal. It had a good plot, but the script and dialogue was written lazy and rushed. The script and dialogue was full with half-baked ideas and missed opportunities. The two elements I like from the film was the whole the time-travel element which is used to change the film's scenery to the "Mad Men" like setting of 60's New York.  The second was Josh Brolin's dead-on impression of Tommy Lee Jones. Brolin does steal the show and gave an excellent perfermance in the film. The action sequences was amazing and fun to look at. This film was much more better than the second one. The special effects and visual effects were very awesome and just plain well done. The film was directed very well and it was very perfectly cast. I will give it a B-.

The Descendants Review

Watched The Descendants starring George Clooney, Shailene Woodley, Judy Greer, Matthew Lillard and Beau Bridges. I thought the film was amazing and a very well made film. The film features some fantastic acting from Clooney which was very superb, while Shailene Woodley in particular comes out of nowhere and steals every scenes very effortlessly. The film does a beautiful accomplishment is its melding of humor and dark cynicism into a fascinating, realistic portrayal of humanity in general. Director/co-writer Alexander Payne did such an incredible job in managing to make the film to be cynical and sweet at the same time and filming every nice scenery of Hawaii very beautifully scene by scene. I thought the characters and story was wonderful and real. the character development and the story itself are well structured and beautifully well written. I just thought the film was just a masterpiece, honest , and very emotional of the exploration of death, adultery, and parental responsibility. I will give it an A++++.
